Writeology, founded in 2007, is a Brisbane, Australia-based professional writing and research business, specialising in educational, community, cultural, government and corporate
writing and editing. The principal writer and editor for Writeology is Pirjo Heinonen (B.A. (Comms), Dip.T).

 

Pirjo's (pronounced "pirio") career spans government and business as a communications practitioner, teacher and administrator. Her writing skills include researching, writing and designing brochures, reports, training and curriculum materials, funding submissions, media releases and marketing materials for a range of government, private and community organisations.

 

Pirjo managed the internal and external communications function for a large government agency through a time of major corporate restructure and change. Reporting to the CEO and working with senior management she helped to deliver change and communications campaigns in a complex stakeholder environment.

 

Pirjo is focused, determined, hard working and persistent in achieving results that exceed her clients’ expectations.

 

She completes projects large and small with enthusiasm, her customary creative flair and attention to detail. Pirjo's professional and personal interests include politics, history and art.

 

In her spare time Pirjo enjoys reading, travelling and spending time in nature with her family.
